    Not so long ago I decided to give my mobile HDD enclosure a simple paint job. nothing too fancy, but I thought I'd share it.

    the enclosure is Icy Dock MB664, with a Hitachi 1TB drive inside.

    Lessons Learned:

    Plain old masking tape sucks for detail masking: DONT USE IT.
    Krylon Fusion is OK for aluminum, not as wear-resistant as claimed.

    the pic wolfticket posted has given me a pretty nice turbine mod idea with the paintjob and exhausts etc.
