I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a frame for a case. "The frame as in what the box is sitting on when you strip it down raw I need and want one about 12x12 for a small cube project. I would prefure not to have to build this from scratch since it would be more trouble than its worth. But I would rather have the 12" cube frame by itself than buying a cube already modded and ditching most of the parts. Anyone ?

I can't come up with anything you could use for a frame. I'm affraid you have to build it yourself.
But thats not so tricky. Get some aluminum, something seen in profile looks like this -> \/ <-- Instead the angle have to be 90 degrees.
Rivet the whole thing together. Not hard.

Yeah thats what I was thinking those like siding for wall mounts with the screw holes down the sides along with some sticks of metal to make it stand between the two other peices.

Is there a way to keep it strong without using screws and bolts. I was thinking I would take a screw and maybe some stuff for striped threads and put it in there to keep me from needing a Bolt or nut. Then I was thinking after I cut the screw head off with a dremel and smoothed it down some I could solder some on both sides to make it stick better. Problem is I am thinking with just solder it might not be that strong. If this thing falls apart after getting man handled once or twice I would be sad.

If anyone has an idea for making the parts stay togethor without a nut or bolt to keep it I also thought if I use an oversized screw it would probably work the same since I am going to go with a flat tip screw.

Feedback please anyone the frame for this project is right now looking to be in the 15 dollar range plus whatever else I have to do to it in labor. The siding peices I am going to have shouldn't be more than from what I saw a 4ft is 4to 5 dollars thick or a thin is 1-3 dollars. The metal sticks are about the same for the same price all at home depot. Anyway if anyone else runs across more on this sort of project please let me know.

i would just pass on the pre drilled angle and get the blank aluminum angle stuff and drill and tap holes as needed for screws...i dont think soldering would work very well at all

You cannot just build the skeleton and expect some strenth in it... You have to mount some sides, boltet/rivetted in the skeleton. Then it will have proper strength. Just make sure you do it nice and good. Don't rush in the cutting etc.. :)

Soldering wont do anything if it even sticks too the aluminum. What you gotta do it get aluminum pipe that is squared instead of a circle. Then drill some holes and rivit the peices together. Screwing them is a bad idear. Then when yourdone with the skeleten of he fram add some pieces of metal cutlike a triangle and rivit that at every joint and angle. Then add the side panels.

I should've looked at my old case frames and seen the rivets that would've made more sense. Thanks guys I will have to step this project up a notch it would seem. If all goes well I should have pictures of all my processes in about 1 month or less.
