a swede brakes the 200% dream

    The Swedish Performance Championship is now over. Robert "Crotale" Kihlberg has reached 203% with his Intel Mobile Celeron 1.4GHz. Using liquid nitrogen he managed to overclock the poor processor to 4242.9 MHz and finally reach over 200%. A milestone indeed for the overclocking community.
    The record was set on the swedish overclocking championship.

    Wasn't there that Japanse guy who overclocked a P4 too 7.4 ghz using liquid nitrogen? I read it in the news in the summer i believe.

    Wow now that's nice I'd like to see that do Super Pi 1M it would probably get 10s or something :lol:

    heh, that's cruel. Kudos for reaching a 200% overclock on a recent CPU though.

    hmmm, I've got an almost identical cpu sat right here, and I thought it was basically worthless...

    Yuck its a northy. That would get 35's at best. Maybe 40's.

    If that was a dothan cpu it would get 10's.

    yes but thats only a 94% oc (it was a 3.8 iirc).

    hmm, i have one of those cpus here and thought it was worthless. Well it's okay for dektop use.

    It however came from a 479 board so i don't see how it would fit in a 478 motherboard.

    You need the ASUS socket adapter to get it working in the P4P/P4C800 series boards.
