Ive just got an abit kd7-s motherboard and I was wondering about the power supply.

It has the normal atx power supply but also a 4 pin power supply socket as well.

Do I need to connect this up.

I have an enermax psu which has the 4 pin connector on it but I thought this was just for intel boards

    Any advice on this?

It is for intel boards, but I believe Abit are fairly unqiue in that they do it for the amd range too. It's to give it a cleaner 12 v line i believe.
