    a full-load temp of 42.5 isn't bad...

    My temps as of now=
    motherboard= 18c
    cpu= 35c
    (basically idle)

    My max temps get to around..
    mobo= 22c
    cpu=44c

    If that's at idle, then it's quite high, but not dangerously so. Run some benchmarks and keep an eye on it when it's being really stressed. If it goes over around 50c then you need to think about some better cooling. 50 is safe... but i would consider that as a max.

    That particular chip is renowned for running hot though.

    If thats load its fine, idle then they are a little too high... Even though those chips do run hot, had a 1.33 t/bird @ 1.45ghz for a few months and it hardly ever tiped about 55 load with a idle temp of ~ 43 so you'll probably be fine under laod.... as pookeyhead suggests tho, run some benchines and see what happens...
