    Both PCs have WinXP Pro.
Both PCs connected through a switch.
Both PCs have the same administrator name and password.
    Both PCs have static IPs (PC1 = 192.168.0.1) (PC2 = 192.168.0.2)
Both PCs have tha same mask 255.255.255.0
Both PCs have built in and 3rd party firewalls disabled.
Both PCs are in the same workgrop.
Both PCs have different "PC" names.
Both PCs have "simple file sharing" unchecked.
Both PCs have "restrictanonymous" set as 0 at the registry.

PC1 can see every shared folder and its files inside of PC2
PC2 can see every shared folder of PC2 but***
***PC2 cannot see what's inside of PC1's shared folders
***PC2 can only see what's inside of PC1's "Shared Documents" folder.

I've tried sharing folders under desktop and under D: and got the same denial.
Tells me access denied and that I need permission.

I'd try using the simple file sharing.... you said it's unchecked but I think that's what I use and I don't have any problems. Odd that the one folder that shouldn't have problems is.

what about the permissions on the "shared folder" folder?

right click -> properties -> secuirty

    check the perms there.

also might be worthwhile checking how its shared (ie if there are any rules there.)

    Permission > Read > All

But now, nothing was done and it's working.
    Screw M$!
