Hello fellow bit-tech members. Yesterday I had gone out for a drive with my brother, and he always has new songs that I want, but its far to difficult to copy the music down and download it myself later. I tried a quick google search and i wasn't too sure what to look for so i came here. I have a home network that consists of 3 desktop pcs, a laptop, a ps3 and a wii. Now, I know there is a way to access my brothers pc and all his files when he is on his pc, but i can't remember how so i came to ask. My pc runs windows xp home SP2, my brothers is xp pro with SP2. I know both pc's need to be turned on in order for me to access his files, but i can't remember how i get access to his stuff. My idea was to just copy his entire music library over to my hard-drive so i could have all his music in just a few minutes. Thanks in advance.
right click on the folder, properties, sharing. check share this folder. if sharing isn't turned on you will have to run through the wizard, but that's not much more than just hitting next. then you should be able to see it in my network places. and you should really be ashamed of yourself for not knowing this.
