Hi all, I’m planning some smart lighting for an acoustic slat wall and would appreciate some guidance from people who’ve done similar. The wall uses standard acoustic slats with roughly a 13mm gap, and I’m looking to install two LED strip runs at 1.5m each, recessed neatly into the slats. Ideally I want a clean, black diffuser-style finish rather than surface mounted strips. Key requirements: • Full Siri control via Apple HomeKit • Colour and dimming control • Philips Hue compatible if possible, but open to alternatives that play nicely with Siri • Startup or subtle animation effects would be a nice bonus, but not essential • Reliable and well-supported rather than cheap and cheerful I’m mainly unsure what the current go-to solution is for this setup. Whether it’s Hue lightstrips with a specific profile, third-party strips paired with a Hue controller, or a completely different HomeKit-native option that works better in tight slat gaps. If you’ve done acoustic wall lighting or slat lighting before, I’d love to hear what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d recommend doing now with what’s available. Thanks in advance.
