I can stop any time I want too, I got it under control. Your next project could be designing and building speakers to match acronym. Just a thought.
This has been an awesome build I would have a little trouble modeling this case in Pro E, let alone building it
Well for one, I hate my nickname because it's fairly old. Second, I liked acronym just because of how many acronyms were related to the case (htpc, xbmc, mitx, etc.). Third, I didn't think of it .
Even though i am a big fan of teasers myself, i dont digg it in this thread Just show some pics of the goddies dammit!!!
I'm working on it! I've been super busy this week. I'm going to order some actual nice backdrops for photos, but in the meantime I guess I'll take some without them...you know, so you folks don't turn into an angry mob.
It wasn't that difficult to model, surprisingly. Take 4 spheres for the corners, make them cones that meet in the middle, and put a helluva fillet between them. Voila! Expect pics soon!
Sooo my bad on that. I totally thought I shared some pictures of both of the pieces polished. Oops! At least now I'll have a short backlog to keep you people off my back! I left you previously with this photo: How many polished pictures can you possibly want? I'll leave you with something for the next day or so. What can this be for? Hint...it's probably not as interesting as you would want to think.
Well, yes! I'm not going to take 30 pictures of the same piece of acrylic is it's not interesting to anyone .
True be best saving a picture flood for the finished article but wow I am itching to see it all come together, have you got the alu anodised yet?.
Yeah man, pictures of polished clear acrylic is like pictures of nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all....
Well as most of you know I've been searching (or rather, saying I'm searching but not actually searching) for someone to give me a quality anodizing job (tee hee) for a reasonable price. However, I have no idea what grit should be used to get the finish I want. That's what this cube is for. The cube will be finished on all sides with different things, different grits, glass beads, sandblasting, etc. In order to know which side is which after this thing is finished and done, I took down three of the corners of the cube. This way, there's only one combination of sides such that the cube can be arranged. I know which side is which! So, this cube will probably be sent out to my final choice in anodizer. The following pieces will be finished in whatever grit I end up choosing. My plan is to get them all anodized different colors to see which I like best. Since there's six of them, maybe I'll choose two or so finished from the cube and translate that to half of the blocks so I get a feeling that I'm 100% happy with what I'll end up with! As always...a little something to leave you with for next time.
