Modding acrylic = automotive?

Discussion in 'Modding' started by Çýbe®OphõßiÅ, 20 Sep 2003.

  1. Howdy y'all! I'm gonna do my first modding next week just by spraying my casing.

Need a wee bit of help on something here...is acrylic spray paint the same as the automotive spray paint? they both comes in spray cans.

I heard that rubbing compound can only be used if you use automotive spray paint, this true?

    Thanx in advance!

go to your local autoparts store and buy the paints from there..

acrylic spray paint most likely means that the major ingredient is acrylic, which is generally used in arts and crafts painting

acylic spray paint is probably acrylic enamel/lacquer (automotive) and is thinners based. normal acrylic (non spray can) is water based. they are different.
for spraying metal cases use enamel or auto paint. u can polish auto paint afterwards. for plastic (front of case) use plastic/vinyl paint for best adhesion. :D
