the big one is exactly what I had planned for a future project... take an old/solid full ATX case, remove all the panels and painte the chassis, then build custom clear panels for the shell. Very nice looking. Clean execution!

Very nice, good job. I actually like the tower myself...

What did you fasten the bolts too? Did you use an older frame, like eddie stated?

the cube case is made out of 1/8 sheet acrylic bolted tgether using 2.5mm allen bolts, while the tower case is made out of 3/8, 1/4 and 1/8 acrylic sheets bolted together using 3mm allen bolts

if you look closely at the edges of the cube case you'll notice the drill marks on the acrylic and the bolts used to fasten the sides together...

Did you get the acrylic cut by a retailer or did you do it yourself? If you did it yourself what tools did you use? Also, did just just secure the piece of acrylic upright and use a bench drill to make the holes for the bolts?

the acrylic was cut using a jigsaw, and sanded the edges to a mirror finish using 250 grit sandpaper then buffed using a buffing wheel the holes for the screws were drilled using a hand drill, you just need steady hands and a lot of patience...

Yep.. thats what I'm waiting for... not money for acrylic but for good tools that I need to do it... and a HOUSE with a work space.

Its tough doing mods in a 600 sq ft apt. :wallbash:
