Wow Activision are clearly no longer in it to create games but to rip off gamers instead. Well done Activision, you've just lost a lot of respect.....

If its not enough that you charge £30-40 for a new game but to then charge another £15-20 to the same users to watch cut scenes, which they've already paid for mind you, is just ridiculous. What ever happened to bonus content being provided for free....

"Within the next five years you are likely to see us do that... There will be a time when we capitalise on the relationship that we have with our audience"

'There will come a time when we act like the whores we are' more like.

Get out Activision, you're the pits when it comes to likeable companies.

Its like me going to see a film, but having to pay everytime the possibility of a comedy one-liner comes up.
    I expect those for free.

    Yikes! $20-$30 for a film?
How much does a cinema ticket or DVD cost over there!?
So cut out the middle man and jack the price up 100%?

wow, i mean, i get the concept (and its not an overly horrible concept) But you think they would word it in a way that doesn't make them sound like the biggest asshole whores...

You know, this has already been done (admittedly by an amateur) with MGS4.

I quite enjoyed the six hours of cut scenes (three two hour blocks). Even without the game play, it was an enjoyable experience.

No, I wouldn't be buying it off Hacktivision, but hey. Be a nice extra to include in the special edition or what have you.

Am i mistaken or does he actually mean we have to pay extra to see 'IN-GAME' movies that should already be in the game?
Or does he just mean game movies? ..

Kotic just gets better and better. First 20-30$ to see the cutscenes in one go. To this I think Jaffos answer is the best.

But seeing what Kotic felt would be good for MW2, all cutscenes will probably end up being DLC so 60-70$ a game, and another 20-30$ to fully understand what is happening.

    The way it reads to me is;

He wants to package the cut scenes to sell on their own, not to remove them from the game.

Bet they'll complain loudly when everyone pirates it and no-one pays the arm and a leg they demand to see it legitimately. Screw you Activision, I don't like being exploited.

Kotick is completely losing it. Focussed businessman, yes. Out of touch with reality and what your audience will be willing to pay? Beyond any normal human being.

So... we've effectively come full circle. From movies, to FMV videos in game, to CRAPPY FMV videos in game, to crappy CGI, to slightly shinier CGI to movies?

    Oh my actual christ.

So not only are they scamming us all out of buggy, out-dated, console-ported games for £45... but now you want to charge us £20 to watch cutscenes?!

Activision... what happened to you? You used to be cool....
