    Hello there!

Anybody ever tried the Activity LED mod (have the LED on the case front rather than on the card) on a 3Com 3C905C-TX? As far as I can see the leds they use are rather special and maybe deliver some other voltage (and me poor boy has no multimeter...).

    CHeers...

There is an article on www.virtual-hideout.net somewhere, Im not sure what card they used, but the activity leds for the NIC are on the front of the case :)

From a voltage standpoint, they're not likely to be special at all. If you do it the VH way, and install pins, no problem, you can swap LEDs until you get some to work.

Most all LEDs except blue and white will turn on with 2V across them. Bigger ones can handle a bit more current, but if you're not twiddling the driving circuit, no problem.
