Awesome. A flash Tenori-on, I wondered how long that would take. Shame you can't alter the pitch. 65824,33168,20232,19464,34576,65824,69408,34832,20256,16672,18208,4224,0,1024,2432,1280

However, the implied root I began with is not necessarily the lowest note available to the synth. Emphasizing said lowest note in octaves in the next sequence, I get a major second and a minor third, followed by two major seconds. Alternately, in the key of C Major, it would be G-A-C-D-E (or V-VI-I-II-III). This isn't my favorite mini-effort, but it highlights the scale and range of the synth from bottom to top: 67648,67744,67904,68224,33872,37888,41984,37928,19104,18944,18944,17920,8456,4228,16912,33824

Except unfortunately on flibblesan's, that one was complete in all its pixelated glory............
that is actually because it's using a pentatonic scale. It's difficult to get dissonance, especially when the parent is a major scale. Blues players use pentatonic stuff a lot. mine: 73728,37376,18564,8224,4106,18448,9248,4096,65540,32832,17952,8194,4258,65826,66048,65538
Yes, of course. For the particulars, see my above post (though it sounds as if you wouldn't need to). For those who don't understand what Fod and I are talking about: Walk over to a piano or any other music keyboard, place your ring or index finger on the black key next to the lowest C you can reach, and run said digit across the black keys quickly from lowest to highest. The scale you'll hear is exactly the same as the one used by our illustrious flash sequencer. It is called a pentatonic scale because it consists of five notes rather than the usual seven. (A seven-note scale is called a diatonic scale.)
This sequence is a little piece of what is called a stretto: Lines of imitative counterpoint that follow one another more swiftly than in a normal passage in a fugue. If you listen, the middle voice -- C C E-flat F FGF G -- is the full theme. The top voice begins at the second half -- in a real stretto, it would play the complete theme and start before the middle voice. The lowest part is playing the same thing an octave lower, but twice as slowly. It, too, would play the entire theme if this were a complete stretto. 33800,32772,32776,32896,1056,0,512,0,33056,32768,16,0,16648,16512,256,4096 I've just tested it and all the notes are there.
