I have a set of these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120985975022?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 and I swapped the green light for blue and use the cabling to power up these case feet.

The green light set up came with a PCi back slot which had an simple on/off switch and another press switch which controls the frequency of the lighting pattern.

I thought how about if I stick an anti vandal switch in the front of my case and remove the wires from the rear press switch and connect them to the AV.

The lights work but I have no control, so obviously this switch is no use to me, I suppose I could have used the original but it is green plastic where as the AV matches my case.

What switch should I have used and where do I get one?

You'd need a switch that toggles between on and off. A lot of the AV switches for PC use are momentary and are therefore not much use, unless you make some sort of latching circuit.

I thought that might be the case. Can you suggest a switch?
