I figured to post this question here because a lot of us do mods and might have some good ideas.

Basically, I'm trying to attach a piece of plastic to the inside of my refrigerator door (which is also plastic). I need it to be strong and sturdy, as the piece forms a hinge for a lifting plexiglass door. Are there any better products for this kind of job outside of rubber cement and Krazy Glue? (I haven't had good experience with Gorilla Glue in the past)

go to the hardware store and browse through the glues.. you should find glues that are specifically for plastics. They are solvents that dissolve both plastics and melt them together.

Assuming both are compatable plastics. I'd say an epoxy would be the best bet. Tape the pieces in place while it's setting.

I agree with the above about epoxy,

Though my solution to fixing anything in place usually involves 2 part epoxy

Epoxy is pretty good. You could also see if they carry a line of glue products called Goop. It's pretty good stuff and you can get it for bonding all different kind's of things.

aralydyte (spelling mistake!?) or tensol 12 used to them in design technology at school.

Make sure you open a window though as they absolutely stink.

I'm pretty sure superglue can burn through plastic with it's fumes.. just try an epoxy, they work great on all sorts of things

My personal favorite adhesion substances is hot glue though... it could work if you've got a hot glue gun

    No More Nails!

If it can hold a guy to a piece of wood on top of the empire state building it should work for you!

Hot glue tend to get very brittle when used in cold environments.
