The people who drink just to say they got drunk are usually the biggest idiots. It relaxes me and I heard that a beer a day is good for you. On the weekends I have been known to do a little catch up or preventative maintence though
Hey I'm 19, American, and I drink when I please. I suppose it's all who you know and where you live. I hate the change in the social host laws, as my grandparents acted as social hosts for my father and myself. It was the safest way to allow teens to explore their limits, but now it's hard to enjoy much of anything without fear. Drinking at home underaged, you're always afraid the cops will be called. Drinking out underaged, you're afraid of being stopped on the way back to the train. Getting lost in the moment briefly in a car, afraid of having a Mag-Lite tap against your window. I'm not sure why I'm on this tangent but I dislike being told no for something I like so much. I come from an irish family, I've been drinking since I was 16, and I don't plan on stopping because of some change in social host laws.
That's possibly true - but the Lemon Ruskis (Lemon/Vodka/Wine cooler) leave a horrible aftertaste in your mouth at about the 3rd one.
