    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help with the daunting prospect (I find anyway) of
    hiring a car.

Basically around the end of August for 2 weeks I want to hire a car to go on holiday - a trip round Scotland.
I would like to hire one of two specific cars. A Kia Sportage or Peugeot 3008.

Does anyone have any experience in hiring specific cars and where in England does this, and not for extortionate
    prices?
Preferably in the Manchester/NW (Or Sunderland) area.

The reason it is those two specific cars is because they are the last two on my short list of cars I am
looking to buy. And I thought this would be a good way of trying the car over a longer period of time.

Or - if anyone has any advice on a better way of doing this (getting the car for the trip that is, not just testing the car) ?

    Thanks, any help appreciated. :)

I pretty much permanently have a hire care from Europecar , getting something specific from them is difficult, the best way to do it is go to a larger offices (like one at an air port) as they have a much better selection but generally speaking you get a choice of whats in the car park and they can't order you anything specific at best you might convince them to get you something transferred over from another local office but they won't know whats there until the day before at best.

There are hire places that specialise in the kind of cars you want, certainly not cheap though

Call a dealer and arrange a long term demo in each, I have had cars for 5-7 days.
