I wouldn't say so, the performance of the Aeroflow is probably slightly better than the Aero 7 lite but not enough to warrant a change. My rule of thumb is that if you have something that does the job adequately, don't upgrade unless you're gonna be gaining a major performance improvement. Saving up and buying something good later is far better than buying something slightly less mediocre now.

i own the vantec aeroflow 1 (for amd of coure) :D . I kind of regret buying it. i know they brag that the tmd is better, but with that heavy magnetic ring spinning, it vibrates a lot more. also, i've heard a lot of people saying the tmd fan is poorly built and does not measure rpm's accurately. I saw this happening with mine too. it would jump from 0 to 50000 then down again. i hope they did a better job w/ v2

Yes, if you have ear defenders or are playing loud music constantly :D The Tornado really is that loud, so many people compare it to a hairdryer at 12v, and that's very accurate. At 7v it's still very loud, only 5v is what I consider acceptable, though the cooling performance at that speed isn't that poor, and lets me pump up the CFM for benchmarking :)

I've got one too, you're right about the RPM thing, it's all over the place. Haven't had too many vibration problems, and the cooling is pretty good (running tbred 2400+ at 2.4GHz atm).

Oh, and was he asking about the aeroflow 2 or was that a shortening of "to"? Damn txtspeak :grr:
