    Hi all,

I need to get some aftermarket coolers for my 4 x Nvidia 9800GT graphics cards, I use them for folding but am constantly seeing 80 degrees on them which is higher than I want them running constantly.

Any suggestions that doesn't break the bank? :)

    Cheers :thumb:

Coolamasta you read my mind! I have bought an Accelero Xtreme 9800 for my GT but only realized it isn't compatible after it arrived. I was about to post about this today also ;)

Thanks for the link bud but that wont keep this card cool while folding! Especially without a fan! :(

That interesting mate, I was literally just looking them thinking should I take a chance, glad I never now, whats wrong with yours? On the website it says suitable for GTX and GT?! :waah:

if there is room then the Akasa Vortexx NEO is your best bet, they can be had for good money and will keep them cooler than the stock solution.

Thanks a lot for the ideas LT.BEECH but I was after something just to do a straight swap with the stock cooler cheap as possible as I need to do it to 4 cards!!

Thats the one I was thinking about mate but the 9800GT is not listed in its compatibility list, the 8800GT and the 9800GTX is but the not the 9800GT :wallbash:

Has anyone actually fitted an Akasa Vortexx NEO to a 9800GT?

+1 at Joekerh, that cooler is pretty beasty, stick 1x 100mm Scythe Kaze Jyu Slim fans on each one and you should be rockin'.

Or get a Scythe Musashi, similarly thin, most likely nearly as competent cooling as the T-Rad2, and with slim fans already attached!
