Well as one of my P£ 500 broke, what can I do with the HSF??? Um... GeForce Cooling! Yay.

So I take the side of the case, get he card and have a look. Um, 3 pin hear, good, damn the connector is to big, don't worry get a flat screwdriver and force it off, good off (i was a bit scared for a min as a slipped!). Anyway, I have no may of fixing the fan on. Has anyone got any ideas how to secure the HSF. I was thinking of just 'blue tacking' it on but it wound't be to effective inless spread across the whole heatsink.

Any ideas, or examples, please leave.

    LOL no not bluetacking ;)

Get some arctic silver or arctic alumina epoxy from here (end pimp :D) or elsewhere, and epoxy it to the core. You wont be gettin it off though ;)

Also clean the core and lap the heatsink to make sure u have full contact cause u dont want a dead gf4 do u :eeek:

Thats another question I ment to ask. do heatsink coneduct electricty (don't laugh i'm not sure).

I would't mind connecting the HSF to the back of the card.

well, heatsinks ussually are made of metal, and metal does conduct...

to attach a heatsink use epoxy from artic silver, as pointed out...

to attach the fan just use some screws...:eyebrow:

As there's a risk of shorting contacts on the pcb don't do it.

Another idea is to mount a thin fan in a piece of thin plastic sheet stuck in the nearest slot so it blows onto the AGP card.
