PCI-E is better than AGP, right?

i.e a 256mb agp graphics card will be worse than a 256mb pci-e graphics card?

And AGP can't run in SLI right?

    Thanks, Keller

Pci-e is better as it provides alot of extra badwith to the gpu but not only that but its bi-directional unlike agp.

Also comparing a agp and pci-e gfx card depends on the card but usually pci-e outperforms the agp but not by huge differences.

and yes agp cant run SLi or Corssfire due to the nature of how its designed.

Also agp is a dead platform and isnt really buying a new card for it anymore, pci-e is its replacement and will last for a long time.

The difference in performance between PCI-e and AGP cards from the same product is caused by the fact that the chip is either native AGP or PCI-e. The other version always needs some sort of chip to translate the data to the right connection. (or something.)
