Yeah, I watched it. The whole thing was just so tragic.

I found myself in total agreement with the Director. Whilst what she did was horrific and she was clearly not in a good mental state, the way it was handled was appalling.

exactly policemen seeling her story etc...

+ her early life didnt sound fun, giving BJ's for cigarettes at the age of nine! and living in the woods, etc...

the scariest thing in all of it was her eyes in that bit at the end when she was ranting. surprised i didnt get nightmares.

the woman is clearly mentally ill, and i dont understand how a country that preaches civil rights to everyone else can sanction the her murder...

She's a complete nutter, and you knows it, clart. Should have been locked up forever and not executed, especially since it was obvious she wasn't playing with a full deck of cards like... one of the most frightening wimmin I have ever seen. When she was explaining about her family background and just kept losing the thread of her own thoughts, and the careers she thought she would have been good at. Did you see those yellowed gnashers? Dear me.

Not a fan of Nick Broomfield though. He's very good at sensationalising his subjects and using 'creative' editing to serve his own ends.

Check out Monster by the way. It's actually a pretty fair picture of her, and depicting her utterly hellish life as a hooker etc. After watching the documentary it's obvious what a good job Charlie Whatshername actually did in the role. She got it spot on.

yeah, what was it , archeaology, policewoman, and missionary or somat.

Cant be sure tho, how much of her displayed madness was due to being kept on death row for 10yrs, knowing she was gonna die at the end of it....

in the stuff from the first trial she actually came across quite sane ....

im in two minds about monster, i would quite like to see it, tho not if it came from the moviedeals from the policemen and tyra...

    it was something like:

Policewoman, fire service gal, missionary, archeologist, paramedic, and most bizarrely an undercover DEA agent.

Ye, Monster was VERY good. Didnt Charlize Theron win an Oscar for it or something? Certainly got nominated.

Also, Christina Ricci looked rather fine in it :hip:
