i have a intel pentium 2.4Ghz (not sure if its a prescott or a northwood)
what would you recomend i overclock it too with just the standard intel HSF?

my current stats are 2.4Ghz with 256MB of 166Mhz memory, i was thinking ov O/Cing it to 200Mhz but im not sure what i could/should do my Cpu too!

    Didnt quite catch that...

If u wanna overclock, just push it up bit by bit, it will overclock pretty well on the stocksink, you'd prolly get it to 2.8... maybe

Overclock as far as you can go before you crash. After that, slow down a notch or to and test for stability. If your stable then your now overclocked. If your not stable then slow down again or increase the voltage a bit. If you haven't read it yet, take a look at the Hardware and Overclocking FAQ.

Let me guess its a Gigabyte Motherboard right? The easy mode really sucks. You might be able to get to 3Ghz or better depending on your ram and heatsink.
