Because of my armed forces tought habit of double tapping I'm known in the airsoft world as an AEG killer. Maplinman took me once but i destroyed the gearbox on a rifle I borrowed. Oops.

I play both paintball and airsoft. I have played paintball for 7 years and airsoft for about 3. I had a Tokyo Mauri AK but I was out playing on a friends land and I dropped it in a creek after taking a header into a small tree stump.

    I miss that thing :(

I've been paintballing before and loved it, but I really don't see the attraction of airsoft - does it not, like, just hurt a RIDICULOUS amount?

Never played Airsoft is it better or worse than paintball? I'm guessing yes but how much and if you get hit by an automatic does it sting for days? But is there more padding and protection?

know it still stings but paintball hurts more and leaves welts the biggest thing an airsoft would do is peirce skin but it dosent hurt that bad.

all I have to say on the subject is that both sports leave welts only paintballs are MUCH bigger :D

airsoft stings for a bit, sometimes breaks the skin if it hits bare skin but its never that bad. however has anyone with an automatic painball gun ever opened fire on ya at close range? most of my chest was a solid weld for a week and a half :sigh:

You cant really compare the two imho.
One involves mostly small arenas with inflatable things and is over in 5 mins.

I have played airsoft games over 20acres lasting 3-4hours, involving lots of tactics, smokes, etc.
Airsoft is closer to actual battle if thats what you want.
    More realistic clothing and guns.
