    hello all!
I have this case. The silver one.watercooled case
I like the case. The kit is a little less desireable. That is another story.
I need to put an air trap in it. One problem - the big 120mm fan on top that you see is actually up closer to the front bezel, only about .5" away, and is cooling a 5"x7" radiator using the first 5.25 bay. As you may have noticed it is very high in the case being only the width of the fan from the very top(about 1.25"). This does not leave much room for an airtrap. Also the picture is not entirely accurate as there is also an 80mm fan/hole in the very center of the top. I need to mount an airtrap in there somewhere but it must be internal! I do LAN parties and my case travels(2-3x month). I saw one that was a plexi tube with an aluminium/plexi top. That would be very cool.<br>
What ideas/mods have people done here before with airtraps in confivned space? It must be internal and I really dont want to move the radiator. A sealable air trap is a must as I said above it travels.

    yeah posted like 3 times :D :D :p :p
but i also think airtraps don't always have to be the highest point of the water cooling system or is this a law?!?!?!?

YES - an airtrap HAS to be the highest point in the system! (sorry to shout but it is really important!:) ) It is the law - the law of physics - air will collect in the highest point in the system - if your airtrap is not at this point then it will become a res and not an airtrap and air will collect in some other place (like your w/b!) not exactly good!

    O.K., rant over :D :dude: :dude: :D

Yes It must be the very highest part of the system. That is not optional. And yes the air is collecting on the output side of my w/b. Cavitating my pump, looking like crap, very bad. I talked to CPUfx.com(bought it there before I found bit-tech 8(...). They call 7-8 inches of whirling air coming off the waterblock, and 120 degF a feature. Well I take that back. They did say that was excessive heat and to send the res/pump back and they would replace either or both. But I have yet to get it back(only been a few days) so I dont know. This is one sweet looking system though. The resevoir is awesome looking. NOw I just need to get it working right! I do know that I want/need an airtrap.
POST PICS PLEASE! Can a thin tube work? The pump I have is 500 gph so I am wary of it just thrashing in the airtrap and not seperating the water and air. That pump sets up a whirlpool in a 2'x3'x1' sink! Its pretty powerful. A CNC shop owes me some time in trade so I may have an aluminium tube milled to make a trap with an open top and put a piece of plexi with a plug in the top, cut a hole in the top of my case and mount it right flush with the very top of my case.
What I am looking for is tube diameter, length(depth), what your pump was pushing as far as gph etc, etc. What worked best for everyone?
