Played the demo today but I wasn't particularly impressed to be honest. I was looking forward to it but the controls weren't very good, has a lot of problems with manoeuvring around fires or obstacles. Looks pretty nice though.
It took me a while to realise that cursor close = turn, cursor far out = rotate camera. Damn, I lost days to the originals on my Amiga and WinUAE. Pre-ordered for more lost days
Cheers, didn't even know this was coming out. Demo on the download. Additionally I love the thought of co-op on this with the missus. The original scared the hell outta me when I was a kid.
I played the demo last night, and I like it a lot, but I can't get used to the controls. It just seems so unintuitive to me. Anyone else not feeling this control method?
The controls were fine for everything except having to press Space to pick up items and the camera movement, which was horribly awkward. This game is crying out for some sort of automatic camera movement or the camera movement to be locked to your aiming direction at all times. As for the game itself, I doubt I'll be buying it, but not for the above reasons. The demo was very short (and interlaced with incredibly annoying "buy our game" nag screens every 10 seconds), so I'm not willing to part with over £10 if that's all the developer is prepared to show off. On the basis of that demo, I would probably complete the game in about 2 hours, and it doesn't seem to offer much replay value. It was also very easy, but then I think I was only playing on the regular difficulty.
