A game based on a movie that was made and released before many of us were even born. I bet it's crap though

another Alien game ? maybe this one won't suck

 

There have been some fantastic Alien based games in the past but it's true, the most recent Colonial Marine game and the AVP from 2010 were quite underwhelming when compared to past titles of the same universe.

 

Recommended specs that low tell me they are concentrating on a better experience than just eye-candy.

Nah I'm just talking bollox but I hope that is what they have been doing. Will be very embarrassing if this flops after getting the original film cast involved.

The thing is, there hasn't been an "Alien" game like this. They clearly aren't selling it as a spray everything with bullets game, which is probably what this franchise needed. To remember its origin from the best film and first film in the franchise. Watch Alien now and its a true masterpiece unlike any of its sequels. The whole pace of the film, the build up of tension and sweat dripping panic to survive at the end is fantastic but something these developers seem to have drawn on for inspiration. That can only be a good thing.

 

From everything I've read it could well be but I'll still wait for the reviews.

 

Okay, I broke my own rule yesterday and pre-ordered this one, it was the latest trailer that finally seduced me.

Okay, so I'm weak, I admit it but dammmmn that trailer really did look good. I'm putting the shambles of Aliens Colonial Marines behind me, just don't bugger this one up y'ba$t@7ds!!!
