Unless I missed it, what will the co-op mode be like then? Multi-player maps with alien bots?

While I agree you should support the people who make the good games because they deserve it, the simple fact is the more it is DRM encrusted, the more it will be pirated.

I probably wont be paying much for it anyway since I will have to wait a while for a hardware upgrade time. Will probably come down in price by then.

Monolith were legends, the ' Blood' games, 'Shogo Mobile Armor Division' and 'No One Lives Forever' are amongst the best games ever on PC :)

    First point: Basically, yes.

Second Point: We could debate forever, but the fact of the matter is that a lot of people put a lot of hardwork into it and usually aren't demanding an unfair amount of money considering the amount of entertainment provided.

This looks like itll be awesome.

What was it you found that was bad about the jumping mechanic? I saw it demoed in a vid and to me it looked a lot better than the old platformer style 'miss by one millimeter and die a pathetic death crumbling to the ground'. If I want to play Super Mario I'll play Super Mario and I'm glad they offed the platformer jumping. How is it not good? :(

And what PC features does this game have again? I really don't remember him going over that all important list. Seeing how Battlefield Bad Company 2 Splinter Cell and Bioshock 2 all come out close to this you think they would go into detail of WHY PC gamers should buy this.

It has dedicated servers, but you don't get to pick what server you play on for the demo. In fact the game finding interface is absolutely bone. Stinks out loud of consoletardation. I want a server list damn you Rebellion! Maybe the full game has one, I live in hope.

Meanwhile having played the demo I was fairly nonplussed. It's okay. I guess.

aye, i just played demo too. interface kinda stinks since its all non-dedicated. full game hopefully.

overall experience is a plus. definitely frustrating when u can pick up cool stuff as preds but have no idea how to use them.... controls definitely the first thing u want to read before u jump in game. i was frustrated the whole first round thinking marines can't run! nor turn the flash light off.... after a quick read, i can cloak as preds, jump wherever i see, heal as marines, and spill my acid blood on marines. creeping out behind unsuspecting victims is always a blissful experience.
and who said marine is underpowered? hell, if u got a fair aim (and calm mind... coz u will get scared) just aim and spray, and ull obliterate everything. flamethrower is a personal favourite. burrrrrnnnnn.......... and xenomorphs is still one of the top class IF u kno how to play it. avoid the light, keep moving, and never EVER confront upfront. this whole walk anywhere stuff gets abit of learning curve, but once u get a hold of it... oh wow.... agility-just-like-in-the-movies.

    minus points from demo:
    - graphic is meh.... screenshot is way better. but then again i cranked all settings max on my q6600 @3.6 and 8800gts, and im getting way beyond 40~50. thats a good sign.
    - sometimes laggy. whats with all the hosting, non-dedicated ********? u get random quick pick and somebody gets to be the host. if the host disconnected, the session crashed and u "migrate" to another "lobby". wtf....
    - high learning curve in multi. better know what all those buttons for, boys. and shut that goddamn flashlight off, marine!
    - AFAIK no option to get out of execution animation..... so make sure u and ur victim is alone in the room if u decide to play with ur food....
    - no execution animation for marines? aw come on..... :)
    - 18 players? can't we get 24? :)
    - small map. but then again its only 1 map in demo.
    - shotguns doesnt shoot that fast....

there's a couple more i couldnt remember right now, but overall excitement... yeah, definitely grabbing this.

but seriously. how DO you use ur picked up weapons as predator? damnit. i want my aiming lasers and spear!

Damn, I've downloaded the demo, but I've got work to do before I can get onto it :(

1 map isn't too bad for a demo, but 2 would be nice. I'll have to see in an hour or so :thumb:

Edit: Playing the demo, it won't connect to any other players. Just continually searches for games.
    Any ideas?

18 seems like a nice number for this type of game. It would be weak if making a trophy kill meant dying in the process since there happens to always be someone there to claw or gun you down while in the middle of the animation.

I'm sure I am bad person for usually buying a used genuine copy rather full fat new all the time but that's all my budget can stand.

However back to the subject at hand... looking at the screen shots for the original avp on steam ...wow does that look dated now!

The scary thing about the old AvP is not the graphics being dated, it's how fast it is. Can't believe how slow modern games feel by comparison.
