I was wondering if anyone has a terrible alienware laptop. I dont know if its the random restarts or the ability to overheat on a desk because the internet takes so much processing power or the sudden unexplained freezes. I was on my friends waste of money last night at a lan party and the thing is just worthless. It wouldnt even connect to the lan through the jack on it. Im just wondering if its just that one or all. If anyone has any ideas to fix it that would be appreciated. It has been recently reformatted and the HD/RAM are both fine.
One of my friends in high school had an alienware desktop (one of the early, white box ones, with an original radeon), and he loved it. About a year ago, he bought a laptop from them and hated it... I think he went through 3 RMAs and then they finally gave him his money back, and he bought a Dell.
Got an alienware Area51m about 2 years ago, been great. It has a 3.2 P4 which rivels most peoples desktops still. I would definalty buy Alienware again.
