Asda are selling for £32 confirmed - an advert was run in one of today's national papers. Sainsbury's is likely to be £26 (!) but is reasonably unconfirmed so far. Those are for 360&PS3 obviously. TheHut/LoveFilm shipped a load early. edit- Sainsburys £26 has been confirmed - another advert in the press.
Confirmed prices: Sainsburys £26 Tesco £25 when bought with any other top 20 game Asda £32 Makro £20 Morrisons are keeping their cards close to their chest, rumoured to be good though... I can't see it beating Sainsburys but will probably out do Asda. Online: Amazon have price matched Asda @ £32 Coolshop dropped to £26 today for around 30 mins, may happen again later in day. Unless any online shops drop to £26 again, I've got the oh on standby to go to sainsburys for 0700 tomorrow
image the profit game and the others are making if a supermarket can afford to sell at these prices dont think i believe the supermarkets are selling at a loss
They can't afford to, it's just to get people into the stores to buy other stuff. They'll be making a heavy loss on every single copy.
It's a loss-leader, they make a loss on the game in order to get people in the store. They then make up the lost money on any extra stuff they sell (from the old "I'm in the store, I've got my game, I might as well do my grocery shop while I'm here" ploy).
* Sainsbury’s – £26 * Asda – £32 * Tesco – £37.90 (or £25 when bought with another chart game) * HMV – £9.99 when either Forza 3, Tekken 6 or Uncharted 2 are traded in * GAME – £25 off when the first Modern Warfare is traded in * Blockbuster – £44.99 (or £19.99 when a ‘selected game’ traded in) And here's a look at some of the online prices: * Amazon – £43.99 (PS3/360) and £34.96 (PC) * Game.co.uk – £44.99 (PS3/360) and £34.99 (PC) * Gamestation.co.uk – £44.99 (PS3/360) and £34.99 (PC) * Play.com – £44.99 (PS3/360) and £34.99 (PC) * Simplygames.co.uk – £46.79 (PS3/360) and £35.79 (PC) * Zavvi.co.uk – £44.95 (PS3/360) and £34.95 (PC)
Hot UK Deals have it on site that morrisons are doing it for £17.99 if you spend £25 or more. Unconfirmed, however its not that unbelievable.
I went by my local Sainsbury's 10 minutes after opening time and there was about 200 people queued up already. A group of idiot workmen infront of my me were going on about how they were going to sell their copies on ebay for £40.
I picked up my copy at Sainsburys London Colney at midnight, lucklily I got there early enough there were only around 50 people infront of me. By the end there must have been 400-500 people in the queue. Unfortunately I only had an hour to play it last night and now I'm stuck at work
Got mine from Sainsbury's on 360 at about 7:50 this morning as all the stores around here open at 7; there were only a handful of 360 copies left by then.
Just seen on Hotukdeals that Morrisons are doing it for £25.99 if you don't have any luck at Sainsburys
