And for the life of me I just cannot get on the computer and do anything with it lately. I literally log on, check emails, check facebook, check a few forums, post a few replies, click a few random youtube links and then start the cycle over again.... all night, for hours on end. I genuinely, honestly, truthfully hit the home button and stare at the Google search page thinking to myself "what can I type in that'll keep me pre-occupied for a few minutes?", half the time just getting frustrated and ending up back on facebook, bit-tech or Bike Radar (the other half ending up on something entirely random that I quickly realise I have absolute zero interest in and closing the browser). Has the novelty of the internet finally worn off? Have I just seen all the best it has to offer and sub-consciously know there isn't anything else worth looking for? Or has 10 years of internet browsing finally de-sensitised me to the point of being a complete online vegetable? Discuss.
I have the same problem. I also tend to open TF2, start a round, get killed, leave the game, open UT, get killed, leave, open BC2, inevitably get killed, leave, go back on bit-tech and start the cycle all over again we need lives meh
I once stared at Facebook for a straight hour, just to see how much of a life I don't have compared to my friends. It was frightening.
Start reading a few webcomics? This one being my favourite by far. Also give a few of these sites a go for 'random cool/interesting stuff™' http://www.boingboing.net http://www.toplessrobot.com http://www.geekologie.com
