Allow or Cancel pop ups

    Hi everyone,

    on Vista when i run any setup or when i launch my lineage game for example, there is always little window pop's up askig to allow program or cancel the process.
    Is there any way to get rid of this messages forever?
    Because it is getting anoying now when i run some apps a lot of times and this keeps popping up.
    Hope you understand what i am talking about :D

    Vista?

    That setting would be somewhere under Users in control panel. You'll want to disable UAC. Can't remember exactly where because I got rid of that OS ages ago.

    Control Panal
    Classic View (bit easier to get to the option you want)
    User accounts
    "Turn User Account Control on or off"

    I Advise you don't turn it off. It is there to protect your system after all. However, each to their own.

    Or you could install Norton's UAC Tool and tell it to always allow that program to run when the new dialog pops up.

    From Start Menu | Run type msconfig and disable UAC in there (choose far right tab and near the bottom).

    Check that these programs don't have any updated versions. Games shouldn't need to run with admin rights.

    Disabling UAC isn't a great idea though.
