I don't know why but I sat down and alphabetised my DVDs this afternoon: (The cardboard cases for Fight Club and The Abyss are too big for the shelves before someone asks if I have two copies...) I don't have a huge amount of DVDs but I have enough for variety...got some absolutely classic films in there too. *n
I need to sort mine out one day... they're not in any order whatsoever and when you've got over 200 it can be hard to find anything you're actually looking for. I usually end up wasting 10 minutes trying to find one.
@all: if you have DVDs/Videos/Books on a ordinary shelf, which way do you alphabetise? Obviously most people would go A-Z, Left-Right. I think it makes as much, if not more, sense to go Z-A. Reasoning: If you tilt your head to the right to read the titles then the list is A-Z, since we read across then down. Anyone here not think I'm wierd?

Never mind, those who did will appreciate the joke. It was about a guy who just spent his time alphabetising his tapes and DVDs and his girlfriend left him and he even turned down her sister for his obsessive compulsive behaviour too. It was very well done black comedy which is obviously lost in this translation.
never fear bindi, i got it not a bad collection nicky, but why oh why werent they alphabetised before now on shelving tho, how annoying is it when your collection expands past the shelving assigned to it on another note, i measured my dvd collection the other day and it is 11 feet long
no one is perfect does owning Tremors 1,2,& 3 make up for it? (i also own a surprising amount of the same dvds as you ) im also surprised you didnt take the piss out of me for having a ginger sofa
