Hi all I'm wondering if anyone knows of an alternative to iTunes when buying tv shows. I would normally get the DVD, but iTunes has 30 rock season 6 showing up, and I don't expect that to arrive on DVD for a year yet. An alternative would be to strip the drm off so I can stream it to my ps3, but I can't find a decent way to do that either.
Well you have the Zune. You also get to enjoy a significantly better software. I haven't tried their video section, but I do have a Zune Music Pass (unlimited music download and stream and music video stream), and it's really awesome. There isn't such membership for video's/movies, but you can buy shows, including Season 6 of 30 Rock. It's worth a look. As another option, you also have Netflix service. (you need to check if your show is in there, as it's different for every country, and the site doesn't allow me to see the U.K site, it redirects me to Canada site).
Cheers, but I can't find it on zune, and we don't have aired 30 rock on netflix yet, let alone unaired. (I'm UK based)
Well that sucks. Reminds me of this comic: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/game_of_thrones Sadly, it's still illegal, he get in trouble, if found.
So very, tragically true. If I "acquire" a copy, there is almost no chance I'll bother buying it on dvd.
I have a resolved the problem! I found a program called ChewTune which removed the DRM from itunes video allowing me to watching it on all my devices, not just the ones marked "i". The only problem is it requires an older version of itunes, is there any way I can keep my up to date version on my profile, and still have the old version? I assume a virtual machine, but won't that slow the conversion down?
