You've got to be kidding me that you fly up 420feet at 120mph and all you're held in by is LAP BARS AND SEAT BELTS!?!? What happened to the normal requirement that it straps your whole body to the train?? "Guests of Exceptional Size" - LMAO!
I can't believe people think Nemesis is better than Air! Nemesis gets so boring after a few goes, even if you're on the front. First time you go on it it's like "woo, that was crazy". The after that it's just like "yep, that was fast and jolty, just like the first time". I'm all for speed and things, but you just can't see where you're going on Nemesis apart from on the big loop.
nemesis gives u a head rush, air is just boring, sure the first time was quite relaxing but it got boring fast. but then i have my opinion and u have yours
I suppose, maybe it's because I only went on Air once (it was good, but I wasn't gonna queue for hours again). I just think Nemesis wears a bit thin after a couple of times. Oblivion's great though, I agree with everyone there. It's plain and simple and just know exactly what's going to happen but you still fill your pants at the top!
Me and Pho when earlier this summer. Had a great time overall but the queues where way too long. The previous time I went oblivion had just been built, I went on that once and it was more scary than enjoyable. This year oblivion was great. Going at the front is a definate must for when they stop you dead just before the drop. The more you go on oblivion the better it is I think. Mainly because the first time you're too damn scared to enjoy it. Air was good but I didn't really experience it much because I was conentrating on keeping my keys in my pocket. Still the parts where you 'fly' upside down are great and all you can see is the sky and tops of trees around you. Feels cool I think. Nemisis is just intense. It rattles you around and bangs your head around a lot more and it's true you never remember anything apart from the loop part. One time at alton the queue was 5 mins long and I went on about 8 times. A tip though, if the queues are long get as many fast track (I think that's what they are called) tickets as you can, as early as possible before they run out. You get given a time slot to come back to the ride and you can then skip the main queue and join a shorter one. When we were there, there was a queue of about an hour for Air but we only queued for 15 minutes .
Yea, but so does air after 3 times. Once youve done it once.. its just boring. The first time is pretty unique ill admit. Oblivion is a short ride, but the rush is sooo good. Plus when the que is only 10-15mins, going on it 4 or 5 times in an hour is great
Yeah, that's another great thing about Oblivion, it's short as hell and has 3 cars going round that take about 30 people each or something so the queues often about 15 minutes
I didnt say i got off then went straight back on after i got off mind there is a slight time lapse between finishing the que, getting on the ride, going round it, getting off, talking, getting drinks, going to toilets etc, then re-queing. Id like to live in ur universe where people get to the end of things without actually having spent any time doing them though
ok a description of Hex incase ne1 is wondering wot it is... actual ride is located in this big building hidden from view.
I want to go again, I'm a sucker for the log flume and rapids, although the rapids are really tame, they need a Valhalla type ride there now and they've integrated Quasar on the Ghost Train!!!!
ok ive been back a couple of days now and ive finally got round to scanning some ride photos for u all to print out and use on ya dart boards! I am in all of the pix, aswell as my family. (Sis, dad & Mum)...so be warned now! **56k Warning** Duel - Haunted House Strikes Back (Zap all the zombies!) AIR (I believe i can fly...or not) Nemesis (Me and invisable friend!) Oblivion (Dont look down!) As u will notice my facial expression is basically the same in all the pix...its my hardcore coaster king face! lol **u may now get the darts!**
It's nice to see pictures of someone who's willing to let themselves go and have a face rather than the usual ones of people trying to look cool and not scared while at the same time defecating in their pants
lol im the type of person who enjoys them! I was on these coasters about 15mins after having a full fry up for breakie! Me no sick! And that face is like..."Waaaahoooo!" face

the only one where i was really holding tight was Oblivion cos is Sh*t scary when u go down verticle! Those pix were all the 1st time on them, all the other pix where funny ones! I always hold on the 1st time, and then after the 1st time its "look ma...no hands!"
