Nope, you wont be the first.
I do not know of a UK store, but this Danish store has floppy as well as cd-rom bezels made for lian-li cases.

Btw the site is in Danish only.

LaPPe thats what i was talking about in my previous post :p

its just occured to me (i'm being a bit slow todaay) but to electroplate something doesn't it have to be a conductor (ie metal :p)
therefore it wouldn't be possible to do a plastic bezel ?

unless there is another form of electroplating i am unaware of:confused:

Check out this thread, might give you some ideas:

I'm 99% sure you wont be able to plate your bezels and even if you did, they wouldnt match brushed aluminum. If you just want chomed look, there is something called silver leaf, and there is something similar that macroman used for the floppy door on macro case, check that article.

do you reckon carbon fibre and aluminium go together?

i was thinking of making a bezel using a blank bezel but facing the CD/DVD drawer with mock carbon fibre... it will match the top of the front panel.. (i have Lian Li usb60v2)

Electroless Nickel process (Google is your friend) coats most plastics very well, but is expensive.
