I've built a 7700k rig with a GTX 1080ti inside a Phanteks Evolve Shift chassis, but the GPU will hit mid 80s after about three loops of Unigine Valley, and starts thermal throttling, when the case is fully buttoned up. With the glass panel covering the GPU side of the case removed, temps peak at 68 degrees, so I was thinking of replacing the panel, which faces away from me anyway.

    I'm looking for a alu plate 472mm x 229mm x 3mm, with slot vents cut into it.

Can anyone recommend suppliers/laser cutters of aluminium plate?

You can pick up the sheet for cheap, quick check on eBay and it's under £10 delivered. Wouldn't be too hard to drill out some vent holes, tiny bit of filing to smooth the edges, bobs your uncle.

It's a shame there aren't more water jets available in the UK.

Personally I would rather work with steel than alu. God I hate working with alu. Everything binds and bloody bites.
