Hey, im getting my Coolermaster ATC101, and new drives with Lian Li ALU bezels, just how different is the color of the alu on the lians and the CM's? thanks, .icecube
Umm... well it is unlikely to be the same I ordered some CM201 bezels and they were from the old revision of the 201, and the brush on the bezels I recieved were a lot different... Spike had the same problem. Kustom are going to replace them with the newer revision though, thankfully. Your best bet is to ask Kustom for some 'new' bezels, or ask someone with a CM101 if they have any spares they are willing to sell
im getting the pioneer tray and the sony floppy drives off kustom pcs.co.uk, they both have aluminium bezels, but there lian li color, i need to know, just how different is the color of the two cases? .icecube
well, im going to get it anyway, if its out of place IMO, then i will just have to do something to the drive bezels or buy a few Lian Li bay covers to make the drives look ok! lol. thanks, .icecube

Will it match? Well probably not very well to be honest (as RTT said, Lian Lis and Coolermaster are different shades of alu) :S but it will be better than beige drives at least! Also there is no need to ask your question 3 times, including twice within 5 minutes...it will be answered eventually
right, yea, the colors dont match. but if the drive and all the bezels are the same color, it will look better. its hard to explain really, lol. basically the case and the drive/bezels will be slightly different colors. .icecube
In that case then it probably won't look to bad at all. In my case I would have had three shiny covers, and then a dull one at the top which obviously looked silly, but if they were all the same then I probably would have accepted it
What's the deal with the Coolermasters. I read they ship with the top blank removed. Does this mean they send you only 3 blank covers for a case with 4 bays? Sorry, I can't say how close the Aluminum may be, but either way at least you'll have CM aluminum/LL aluminum, that is closer in match than CM aluminum/plastic
yea, they ship with the top bay cover missing, but its not a problem for me, but would be for others, who want driveless systems. .icecube
its a very dumb move from CM. they either: think that people will put a 5" drive in for sure OR they no lots of people buy CMs so they think they can get more money by making people buy a drive bezel. ummmm, lol. .icecube
Thanks Ice! Excellent point, for those cases are expensive enough. On top of that people like me would want to use the blank cover to mod as a drive face cover..... I hate it when companies nickle and dime a person for stuff that should just be part of the package. Then when it's tough to order these extra parts at a reasonable price, it just makes it a major drag! I was considering a ATC 110 as my next case, however I will need to secure those extra covers before I commit to one
lian li and coolermaster bay covers are £5 a go, i bought 4 yesterday. its proberly worth it, as i need them. lol. but coolermaster really are lame, as people who want driveless systems or want to stealth, are going to have to buy a bay cover. who thinks we should start a protest. lol, .icecube
Ice, it's cheap if you have the suppliers locally to obtain the covers. It's tough enough to get a Cooler master in Canada much less buy the drive bays. A person can try ordering the Bays from a plac in the States like DIrectron, Or PC mods, however after shipping those 2 drive bays that cost $14 now ended up costing $70 It's insane how much shipping can be when they will only ship UPS Like I said, I'm thinking of geting a CoolerMaster, however Iwill need the blanks at a reasonable price. I'm in 4 a petition for my future interests
umm, if you cant find them, i will quite happily ship some over to you, at no extra cost, you would just need to find the cheapest P&P from UK to Canada, and pay it. I can get them for £5, which isnt too bad really. .icecube
