Why Parents should always check their children's homework before they hand it in: Submitted by a first grade girl for a homework assignment After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note: Dear Ms. Davis, I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at B&Q and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This photo is of me selling a shovel. Mrs. Harrington I just had to share, it's kept me chuckling all day
A couple of things wrong, the notes have dollar signs, the use of the word mommy and snowstorm all denote the picture was created in the US. Whilst mommy works in B&Q a UK chain.
I've seen the pic before with a different story (though along the same lines). Someone's obviously embellished the story for a UK audience.
My first thoughts exactly, secondly why would a girl be in first grade in the UK? What is first grade? We have years here. And look how well written "When" is, noting especially the letter e. I'm doubtful of the authenticity of this.
Pffft, ignore the handwriting and the dollar signs! Take the sqaure root of the shovel to mommy height ratio and subtract this by the mean height of the customers and more importantly, why is everyone's hair & money colored in so carefully but no-one is wearing any clothes? It is because her mum is indeed a stripper
Someone has been reading xkcd One other point, lets just assume a first grade child was that good at drawing and writing, how would they know what goes on in a strip club? Pretty sure I didn't at that age, and even if someone told me I doubt I would have been able to draw it.
