Perusing eBay I came across this image. I'm reading VCORE: 1.792V as CPU Core voltage.. I'm a little out of date with BIOS screens of the last few years. What is this voltage reading likely to be from? I really hope it's not CPU core voltage!
You are reading it correctly, it does indeed claim 1.792V for the CPU. However I'd question if the displayed info at the top right is correct, look to the left of the vcore and it says 38c for the CPU and that low temp would not happen with such a crazy voltage, so something is clearly wrong. Depending on OC, load etc you'd be normally looking in the 1.0 - 1.3 range for an i7-7800x. I'd go into the settings and check what it says there as I'd trust the actual setting over the overview any time.
It’s reading an alternate voltage from somewhere. Your CPU would be thermally throttled and shutting down with that much voltage. Nothing to worry about.
