A spoof video of the song (Is This The Way To) Amarillo - performed by British soldiers in Iraq - has crashed Ministry of Defence computers.

    More here

May have crashed the computer system, but at least everyone can see the funny side of it.

Theres a clip of the video on there but if anyone has the full video I would very much like to see it.

you'd of thought there would be some kinda DoS prevention system with priorities for information wouldn't you?

or did the MOD just put their system out to the lowest bidder!

DoS prevention wouldnt have done anything to stop that as they were genuine requests for data. Im sure those services werent ment to coupe with such a large file trasnfer to so many users.

if i've got 100,000 legitimate packets going to my ftp, my remote desktop port has 10 packets going, the 10 get QoS prioritied up.

i know the MOD had on an old system a similar idea of priority!

Looks like they have taken it down due to excessive bandwidth usage!

Aparently you can get it from The Suns website (www.thesun.co.uk) at a charge of 50p. All proceeds go towards war funds etc.
