Your power supply won't power them. You're going to need external power to get them to turn.

The arcade case, however, screeeems Mame.

Wait just a minute...you have a kick-ass (in decent shape) Arcade Cabinet, and you are excited BY THE FANS?!?!

Why haven't you made that into a kille MAME box, or some other kick-ass mod? You + Priorities != Straight. :eyebrow:

Man - I'd wet myself if I found something like that - I can't believe you didn't even know it was there...

Mind you given the cavernous reputation of American basements it's hardly supprising.

You should get it back up and running, as had already been said it'll be a collectors item in working condition.

And all mine run 8 - 16 volts, but will work at 7volts :D

to answer all your comments about how stupid i am for taking apart an arcade machine for 2 fans...the thing was broken, broke a long time ago, and the game sucked anyway.

we won the thing in a raffle and it sat in our garage for about 2 years when the screen just went with the heat

it is so not worth trying to fix as you would have to replace the entire CRT part of the arcade game which is like 80% of it

i did manage to scrape off other parts like the coin slot inserts

if anyone wants it, it will be on the street for the entire week until monday in Voorhees, NJ

I bet you could still E-bay it for $100, as some people collect them just to repair, and heh moneys money...

The case is still solid. Mount a monitor in place of the crt and build a pc into it to run MAME on. I say it still has a ton of potential.

No offense but...you are a fool for getting rid of that thing!!! That would make an awesome MAME case. What type of modder are you? If I found something like that...i'd $hit myself in excitement. I was so happy when I found a crappy pair of pc speakers and a roll of solder in the garage today...imagine if I found an arcade machine!

I would totally make that into a MAME box. Popular Science showed how to make one, a few months ago. I so want one.

    PEACE
