News Amazon's New World MMO open beta starts 9th Sept

Not sure if this is my kind of MMORPG but, worth trying the open beta, to give it a try without spending 35 quid.

 

Are we supposed to buy the game to gain access to the open beta?

 

I don't think so but, there is nothing about the beta test on Steam yet.

Just not enough PVE content for my liking. It never was supposed to be about PVE but hopefully they continue to add PVE content like they have over the last year. I still may get this at launch just to have something different to play but I wish Amazon would let me buy it from Amazon (Canada). I don't know why I can't. As for participating in any beta I haven't in ages but might be interested in seeing a little of this.

 

I’m only interested in PVE, so I’m glad I cancelled my subscription. If I can get in to the open beta without having to buy the game then I’ll be able to see if it’s something for me to enjoy. But if it’s PVP focused - I doubt it.

I pre-ordered it because I assumed Amazon would be creating something spectacular - being its’ almost maiden voyage. I cancelled that because … buggy Cyberpunk 2077 (which I still haven’t played).

 

I'm away for this which is a shame as I am kinda interested although your reports of little pve tempers that feeling.

Open beta is run through steam's playtest system, you can request access from 8 September at 2pm UTC (3pm UK time)

 

PVP focus, means the end of my interest.
