rally bit was a great segment, watched it again last night (just that bit) I never do that with top gear unless there is a car I am buying on it.

Couldn't agree more RE: Audi / Lancia section. A real nice bit of cinematography if you ask me

I was genuinely surprised by the segment that started episode 8. I wouldn't have expected the car distribution to be like that.

Really enjoying this season and love the 12 eps vs 6. Feels like old Top Gear. Fun and informative. Always skip the celeb segments, though.

Hmmm. Pretty poor ending to the series, tbh.

Short, for a 'special', and it just sort of fizzled out.

And the way they treated live fish was very poor!

Bit to far having them live fish go through all that.
Watching the last remaining fish gasp for air in a filthy tank with other fish dead flouting them is not entertainment. Its just grim.

Very poor ending to what was otherwise a decent season.

Haven't watched the series but I watched the 'special' yesterday, thought bits were funny, others felt too scripted/just bad.

Also thought the water spilling onto James got old after the initial time (well part way through that bit actually), felt like they were trying too hard to be 'edgy' as well.

I really didn't like the last episode for this series. The whole thing felt rushed. It was rather unfair on the fish. Not upto the usual standard of the show. There were some funny moments but those did not make up for how poor this was and it was meant to be a special !

I thought this was one of the best episodes and had me dying in laughter. Especially the part with James May's car. I suspect they didn't actually take the live fish the way they said and it was just for TV

You can save accusations of virtue signaling for anyone showing concerns you happen not to share for twitter if you want.

I found myself laughing quite a lot, but overall a poor end to the series.

Yea this. Mostly the first 10-15 mins was genuinely funny but otherwise it was "a silly choice of vehicles through mud for 40 minutes" tiresome. The fish.. yea, bit ****. 'Grim' is exactly right. I didn't "get" that they're mocking all the celebs that go to 'save' Africa until the very end. It was really low-key in that respect.
