I don't think I can change the voltage, but I read reviews on newegg.com about the 2500 and the 2600 mobile, they both said they oc very well. I want it atleast at 3200 speeds. However, I can't up the voltage. I will have a thermaltake volcano 11 on it. What can oc to 3200 speeds easilier with regulard voltage?

Default volted for the mobile chips is 1.45v, thats pretty low for a decent overclock. If you get a decent stepping then you'll possibly manage 2.2-2.3ghz on stock volts. maybe a little bit more. I know my mobile 2500 hundred needs 1.75 (BIOS) 1.7 actual to be prime stable at 2.4ghz 200x12.

If you are serious about overclocking then you really need a new motherboard. If you keep the same board make sure that it supports mobile athlons.

    That was the mistake
you need the V2.0 not s2. Thats the new board without Multi adjustements, and they added gb lan or some crap.

Anyways, back OT, both of those chips should do 3200 on or very near stock voltage. However a new mobo would be a good idea IMHO.

Yes it will fit in your socket, but your screwed without a multi. Mobiles default to 5 or 6 multi becuase the desktop mobo won't know what clockspeed to run it at.
Your going to need to change this to run at default and o/ced speeds (default multi is about 13 iirc)

    [IMG](why , i am using this alot lately :D)
2.5 at default volts? get real m8 :hehe: you'd be lucky to hit 2.2stable at default (1.45) volts.

Ok, take a screenshot of the o/c with the print screen button (a screenshot of CPU-Z would be fine). Then, upload it to this place:

    www.imageshack.us

It should be easy to figure out. Then, when it gives you a list of things you can cut and paste to put your image on the internet, copy the one with the [IMG]

I don't see anything about the memory though... Download CPU-Z, click the memory tab, and take a screenshot.

instead of fighting aboug ocs please answer my question, which is better 2500 or 2600? Which wil oc to atleast 200 fsb easilier at stock voltages? Does it have to be mobile? Regular is cheaper.

    Both are ~ the same.
Both should do 200 fsb no prbs.
yes, needs to be mobile, they clock better and have unlocked multis.

Can you post a CPU-Z screeny please, along with the mem section AND ~ 5 hours of prime :D
Anyone can take a death screeny... not saying you are but just to show you arent :D :thumb: :thumb:
