Graphics AMD Radeon HD 8970 GHz, 8950, 8870 Specs

    While on the hunt for my next GPU, I decided to check on rumors release dates and specifications for the next generation of GPUs. Don't want to drop the money when a price drop could be around the corner. Most search results turned up old articles and speculative specs, but one search result was gold. I found PDF documents on the HD 8970 GHz, HD 8950, and HD 8870.

    They are basically rebranded 7000 series cards for OEM's only IIRC and not going to be available to normal consumers from retailers.

    Cannot remember where I saw it but it was a while ago.

    These are just a refresh for the oem's, as such, identical to the 7xxx retail cards.

    At least the 8870 has 3gb of ram now, and the clock speed is a bit better.

    the pdf says 8870 has 2gb of gddr5 not 3gb. the 8870 has been running at 1ghz for a while now.
