"Lots of stock" coming in the next two weeks means... well, I guess we'll see. With Ampere so far any comment like this meant "really just a handful of cards".
I can confirm i got a 5900x on releaseday. Now im just waiting on motherboard + gpu to be able to use it hehe
I'm upgrading as a Christmas present to myself. I'm more concerned about GPU availability.
My friend got one too. Sadly he also got a X570 TUF with no BIOS flashback lol.
I reckon a CPU weighs about 50g, so "tons" would be at least 35 thousand or so...
Hehe **** happens, i just got confirmation my Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero has shipped
Split across say 75 countries (35K / 75 = 466)
Split across 4 models (466 / 3 = 116)
Split across say 3 stores on average per country (116 / 3)
Then that 35K would translate into a mere 38.6 CPUs each shop got of each model on average.
So it would actually have to be way more than a ton shipped
My board ships tomorrow Asus x570 ROG
My CPU (5800x) who knows.
I was told i would have a better chance of a 5800x than a 5900x.
He did say "tons", plural. So that's at least two tons, which is 77.2 processors per store!
I hope they're giving a discount to the guy that gets the 0.2
My back-of-the-envelope calculations factored that in
Not done on a semi-wet napkin = instant dismissal of results.
I placed my order order at 14.04 with Scan on launch day and only received an email recently saying I'm queue position 109, I've ordered the 5900x so fingers crossed I will get it soon,
Like with gpus when there is a waiting list for one it means they did not ship enough of them
There's nearly 1400 people behind you https://www.scan.co.uk/shops/amd/ryzen-5000-faqs
A while off then if AMD are drip feeding?!, wow only 40 units expected that's pretty low for the 5800, definitely a paper launch
2577 outstanding pre orders wow, at a Mean selling price of £500 thats £1,2million of pre orders Scan has took.
If your at the back of that list you wont be seeing a chip this side of xmas
Not as bad as the 7 million OCUK took on 30 series.
With current prices that's about 14 cards.
Separate names with a comma.
