No, not our Hex. The series on Sky. Sort of like Buffy meets Hollyoaks with a dash of Carrie for good measure. It hasn't been that bad for a home grown Sky series, although it's using the obvious ploy of having lots of attractive people who seem to be continually in a state of undress / in the shower. And the lesbian bestfriend is a complete Willow rip-off, but the ghost aspect is a nice twist. What do you all think?
I'm actually really liking it... I must admit I had prejudgements of it being oh so reminiscant of 14 year old girls being "OH MY GOSH I'M SOOOO GOTHIC".. then into "OMG I'M SOOO PAGAN".. then inevitably into the whole "I'M SOO A VAMPYRE or WITCH".. But bloody fauntunately they've gone a nicely different way with it.. In a nice way it's a more mature version of Sabrina the teenage witch... Overall it makes a decent older teen programme.. and the people in it are actually suprisingly quite decently and appropriately dressed... Just hoping they bring it out as a DVD set... if they don't i'll be quite disappointed...
Yeah it's pretty good actually. Admittedly the shower scenes are fairly unnecessary, as are the lesbian ones, not necessarily a bad thing though. Hope it continues in the way it is; if it does, it'll be a fairly good series.
I have to say that so far Thelma is the most interesting character. I love the way she's abusing her powers already, manipulating the other girls dreams, and eating whatever she wants as she's not going to put any weight on... Of course, it begs the question how does a ghost eat? In Thelma's case, the answer is 'A Lot'
That's something that's annoying me greatly... how can she touch, and move 'real world' objects.. like the crisps.. and the condom... especially without living people like... noticing... "Oh look.. floating johnny... meh"
I haven't managed to see this yet (no Sky is a bit of a hurdle). All I do know is it's causing me nightmares with my call-script in IRC!
I watched the pilot episode a coupla weeks back, but was in spain recently and missed the next 2. I enjoyed the pilot, but have to agree that the shower scenes are kinda unneccessary! Might try to read up on what i've missed and catch the next show.
I agree but maybe thats what the advertisers want us to think, hundreds of zombee like lads watching a show because theres the odd sexual hint, rather than going out and engaging in real relationshipd <me scares myself> Back on topic, I've seen the first episode but haven't got round to watching the next couple yet, liked the pilot though
