Okay I've got a really difficult question: Doctor in the House - TV series 1969+ [Not the movies!] - British Comedy I need to find out: Was it ever released on VHS or DVD? Where could I get it? I've hunted Amazon and can only find Best of's one of which is still for sale at £9 Ebay don't got it and cd-wow & play.com definately don't carry it as its ancient Where else could I look (cult/out of print type online stores/auctions)?
This may be a bit dodgy so if it its any mods can delte it. uknova.com its a torrent site, but it only has torrents of uk tv shows that were never released on video or dvd or anyhting like that so its kind of ina grey area.
Amazon apparently does have a DVD boxed set. Says it is the complete series. Found it through IMDB. Hope this helps. Bit confused though as it says complete collection yet a review says six episodes.
The amazon box set is the films (there was a series of films which inspired the tv series). I nearly bought it by mistake.
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/sea...ga10244=10425&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi= It's "Best of though", it seems Dr Hilary Jones has a software of the same name, so might make it harder to find. EDIT: Isn't one of the guys Wonka from the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
Thanks MrWillyWonka, after hours of hunting it seems that only a couple of 'best ofs' were released and all on VHS. I think that I'm going to have to resign myself to the fact that these are lost. Its such a shame as it was a great series with 8 seasons.
Doh! Sorry for posting wrong info then. I know they have a write up on bbc.com comedy section about the show. Maybe if enough people call/write to them they'll dig the show out of the archives.
